Architect Aldo Bernardis: The Face of Lignano and the Story of Architect Giulio Avon
23 October 2024 – Palazzo Antonini-Stringher, Udine
On 23 October, the second event in a series of meetings dedicated to 20th-century Friulian architecture will take place, organized by Gaspari Editore in collaboration with the Order of Architects of Udine. This event will be a unique opportunity to learn more about Aldo Bernardis, an architect who played a key role in shaping the urban landscape of Lignano.
Held in the beautiful Palazzo Antonini-Stringher in Udine, our member, Architect Giulio Avon, will present his new monograph on Bernardis. The book tells the story of Bernardis' career and his fundamental contribution to the design of Lignano Sabbiadoro, now the "tourist capital" of our region.
During the evening, Giulio Avon will be in conversation with Messaggero Veneto journalist Oscar d’Agostino to discuss Bernardis' numerous public and private works, his architectural vision, and his lasting impact on the region.
For Raggi e ArchiTetture - Ville di Lignano, this event is particularly significant, as it honors the contributions of an architect who greatly influenced the development of our city. We are proud that our member Giulio Avon will be part of this important cultural and historical moment.
We invite you to join us for this evening dedicated to architecture and territory, an opportunity to learn more about Aldo Bernardis and the legacy he left behind..
